Street Photography

Street photography concentrates on the usual happenings in society in different public places. This branch of photography focuses on people in their environment surrounded by all the modern commodities and on capturing actions between them.

Street photography can go two ways. On one side there is the traditional form where photographers catch a moment in time in a very cool and distant way, but there is also the version of capturing more emotion with the help of the lens. All street photography however puts techniques of straight photography into application.

By capturing a moment using a fully objective eye, the photographer manages to freeze time exactly as it was at the time the picture was taken and reflects a mirror on what he saw through his or her lens. The photography that results shows city blocks, parks, malls, beaches and other locations in a very real way by documenting one or more subjects.
